Yes, sometimes it seems the people at these organizations forget their true missions. I recall a story from 60 Minutes of a head of a Red Cross office in S CA who was getting paid over $200K per year, and the person featured in a Red Cross commercial locally after a disaster, did not even receive the aid the Red Cross said they gave in the commercial! As a side note, I gave to the Red Cross today through Amazon's homepage....hopefully the spotlight will hold them accountable for this disaster. But I do reserve most of my giving for Catholic Relief Services, as they are near the top in terms of percentage of aid which makes in through (92% I believe).
