Mary, Read the first amendment again. The Constitution doesn't say anything about religious teaching in schools. The Supreme Court may have made that judgement, but it is not in the Constitution. All that it says, is that there will be no governmental religion. That was meant as protection against things like the church of England, and the Catholic strangle hold on nations, such as Spain, and Italy. That is all the founding fathers had to say about religion, and all of the rest of the garbage we are being bombarded with, comes from the ACLU, with the backing of liberal justices on the Supreme Court, over the years.
