The problem with giving to the Red Cross is that they are not saying that 100% of the money will go to the disaster victims, just that it will go to the Red Cross.

This is exactly the same BS they pulled over the victims of 9/11. They used it as an excuse to raise general operation funds.

I want to give directly to disaster relief. No problem if some is used for overhead for that operation, I know things cost money, but not for cushy salaries and fancy parties.

At least the Red Cross is now honest that money donated will be used for multiple purposes.
