Hi Frank,

Can a lambda assembly, then, be regarded as a form of real property, as would be applicable under the interpretation of the laws of property ownership?

While it sounds perfectly reasonable to me, I would not dare to opine as I, unfortunately, have no idea of property law.

On a different, but related topic: would you be ready to make a prognosis to what extent within the next three years the major IXCs (ATT, MCI and Sprint) will (or won't) outsource their long haul networks to the likes of Level 3, Broadwing, etc and whether you would think the major focus would be on buying dark/dim fiber, wavelength or even IP capacity (if the latter is possible at all). To what extent does insufficient standardization in the IP and MPLS area make outsourcing of IP capacity impracticable?

TIA

Sam
