You are very correct...thanks for your clarification.
I choose to leave the terms, pre-emptive and cooperative out because with my style of writing...I probably would have felt the need to go into further defining the technicalities of addressing memory....thus loosing my point. I try to remember others that get lost in all of that techie stuff, respectfully.

Without straying too far from the SI mission...
I think that today, August 31, 1997 will go into the history books. One country's people suffered a tremendous loss last evening. Princess Diana represented an independence from the Monarchy that may never be gained back. With respect for the throne, I ask that we give serious thought, a time out for her sons, first...and for the people of the United Kingdom.
