I don't know if these depressed prices get resolved in the next month, but I think the basis for a corn trade is to see how much farmers are willing to plant next season with crop prices barely over two bucks, combined with higher growing costs (fuel, fertilizer, water, equipment) across the board. My bet is that it might be a good year to fallow fields in high cost/higher risk regions like western Nebraska or Minn.
