I may be the only person who has read the entire website...but it is important to be aware that our own Ready.gov website clearly tells us 5 separate times that the authorities may not be able to provide immediate assistance. The push for 2005 is going to be to get unprepared American households to take action and get an emergency kit together. If a family is properly prepared for one emergency, they are prepared for any emergency. Relying on someone else, including the "authorities", is not now a solution and never will be. jmho. uw
