Al, Just think of what this country would stand for, if we could shoulder the relief effort. If we could throw the resources that we are using for war into helping folks that really need our help, without a thought of payback. If we used our military for defense and our largess for charity. Is that being a "superpower"? Think of the real pride we would feel if we were the first benevolent "superpower", the folks that didn't wage war, but waged peace and sacrifice for the greater good. Think how that could change the world. That's just a dream some of us had. It's not in the cards. John
