Great post. Thx! Exactly what I've been afraid of on my posts.

On another note, I'm curious what people think will happen to Cisco's stock price when they are forced to expense options in their yearend income statement (7/05).

I personally think it will be a non-event. They'll expense them, analysts will add it back in proforma, and the stock won't even notice it. JMHO.

Also, am curious what people think Cisco will do, once they have to expense options.
1) Will they stop the program with nothing to replace it?
2) Will they continue the program?
3) Will they replace options with restricted stock? Will the amount be reduced, so there is net less dilution?
4) Will they replace it with cash incentives?

What do you all think? I presonally believe they'll do like MSFT and replace options with restricted stock, but it will be a much smaller amount of dilution (fewer shares of stock given vs # of options given).
