Al, Just think of what this country would stand for, if we could shoulder the relief effort. If we could throw the resources that we are using for war into helping folks that really need our help, without a thought of payback. If we used our military for defense and our largess for charity. Americans have been among the most generous people on earth..but this monster in the WH is a cold hearted bastard...after 3 days of silence, and an initial pledge of $5M, he had to be shamed into action, and even then, the pledge went up in fits and starts, now standing at a pultry sum of $35M...
