A friend told me that a leftist commentator (name forgotten) had wondered on his show why the US doesnt declare war on Mother Nature given that her latest blow has caused 40X the number of casualties that occurred on 9/11. He went on to talk about the illegal and unnecessary wars in iraq and afganistan. Of course he ignored the most salient point that one event was caused my men with malice and the other was an accident of nature but never mind.
This all got me thinking. I hate to quantify things when it comes to war but after all american losses in iraq are far surpassed by a factor of 120 by the terrible tsunami. Perhaps that will justify the war for those sorry leftists who have appeared on this thread in recent days and for that left wing radio commentator and even for Michael Moore.
