The author comments on how Apple is making these punitive gestures to the clones but in fact hurting the Mac User. Too bad Apple doesn't understand this. How many members of the Mac Community does Apple have to alienate in order to get what they want in the licensing talks. The longer these licensing talks go on, I believe the uncertainty will create hardware erosion in both Apple's and the clones sales.

You had great points about the manufacturer of wintel notebooks. I want to purchase an Apple notebook but I am concerned of parts, open standards, internal parts replacement.... etc. I wish the clones could make notebooks so I could get a better choice, price etc.

BTW: I do not own or short Apple shares. I do believe the shares could become attractive again if it goes down to the mid or high teens. Looking for a price entry point if this move down, ever occurs.
