elmat, I have to disagree with you here. I think the US, after slow reaction at the beginning, now is playing the political card pretty good and smart. Why do I say this? Among the so-called 4 Core nations they claim, only India directly suffered from the tsunami. Sri Lanka and Indonesia -- two nations suffered the most from this -- are excluded. Not to mention we do have an international organization, which is called United Nations, to take the lead of this sort of disaster. Why do they need another so-called "core nations"??? I suspect they want to keep this so-called core group long after the tsunami disaster relief is over. And their purpose is to counter the ever growing influence of China. I hope I am wrong.

As for the suffering of overseas Chinese, do I need to say more? Where was the international "justice" when the massacre of overseas Chinese in Indonesia happened? I do not recall any.
