FWIW, Godot, I prefer the Gabelli Dividend and Income Trust... GDV 17.95 vs NAV 20.12 a 10.7% discount, a monthly payout, which is 6.7% annually. I reinvest this .10 monthly div., thus compounding my income stream. Earlier last year, '04, Mario Gabelli bot $1-3mill. in the open market. The board has adopted a share buyback program if and when the stock sells at more than a 7.5% discount, as it is currently. The portfolio is a bit more eclectic and less diversified than FVL, which I prefer. Gabelli organization has a good reputation, IMO, and several of their CEF's sell at premiums (GUT, e.g.)! In the FWIW category...Do your own Due Diligence.
