I was back in Indonesia March-june 04. I was surprised how much it had fallen back from 1998 when I left. That because I was in Thailand and Malaysia and had seen and heard how they had recovered from the 97/98 Asian melt down. Indonesia had still not recovered and had for half year of 04 had 3 elections. Worse, they were, 6 years fter the Asian meltdown in a sate of shock. Kind of they didn't know what happened, how it happened or what to do to grow again. I saw in this 6 years delay to takle the problem as a result of not being able to admit. "We were happy and we didn't know. Come back Chinese!"
