I agree, Bob has has been spectacular at long term timing calls. When I've made a move based on another newsletter writer a long time ago or used my own timing opinion I've done poorly by comparison. That does raise the issue of being dependent on Bob and we don't know how many years he will continue to write the newsletter. I suspect he'd continue to market time but I've gotten the impression he finds the newsletter is a great deal of time and work. I've thought about looking at various indicators to come up with a lite suggestive model for personal use at a time Bob might no longer be available but I have no idea how useful that might be without all the info, experience and interpretation that has made Bob stand out with long term market timing. Also it could be a lot of work I'm not eager to do at present Anyway hopefully he'll continue to write the newsletter or otherwise share his timing opinion for many more years.
