I bet that boggeled your mind. Quiver Beach on the Illinois River has springs that stay open all winter and the shad stack up there. Carp too. I have a friend who lives there and has seen 52 Bald Eagles at one time. They eat fish on his roof and on his deck.

Close by we have the Mackinaw River which has "safe areas". 57 Great Blue Heron nests there this year. I have to put nets up to keep them from eating my pet fish.

I cracked off a couple of rounds from my high grade Valmet trap shooter to spook off some skunks. Wood to metal fit like they grew together and cut checkering that grabs my hand. Nothing beats a weapon that is a work of art. I got a 25 straight on a skeet range with her using skeet tubes.
