Henry,

You are the only person I know of who is talking about influenza in the tsunami damaged regions.

Diahhrea, malaria, dengue fever and cholera all seem to be much greater threats. It is the raw sewage that is the key to disease in these areas.

Are you following these other diseases as well?

Here's the CDC Tsunami page:

bt.cdc.gov

Infectious Diseases

* From Food or Water:
o Diarrheal Illness
+ Cholera
+ Management of Acute Diarrhea
o Hepatitis A
o Hepatitis E
o Typhoid Fever
o More information:
+ Q & A: Foodborne Illness
+ Diagnosis and Management of Foodborne Illness
+ Flooding and Communicable Diseases Fact Sheet: Risk Assessment and Preventive Measures
From the World Health Organization (WHO)

* From Animals or Mosquitoes:
o Leptospirosis
o Plague
o Rabies
o Malaria
o Japanese Encephalitis
o Dengue

***
As I see it, the CDC is not concerned about influenza. Why are you?
