SI seems to no longer have portfolios, so I'm unable to post my results in a public place where everybody can seem them day-to-day, so I'll post my cumulative % gain or loss here, occasionally.

I'll assume I bought all the stocks at the close Dec. 31

If I chose instead Dec. 28 as I did in 2002, my returns would be reduced by 0.6% which is inline with the RUT which went down by 0.5% during the same period. Thus, my performance as compared to the RUT will be essentially unaffected by the choice of the start date, Dec. 28 vs. Dec. 31.
