I too will keep an eye on it, one way by posting here.

Someone did make a point to me once. Lets compare Cisco management to the bartender of a very profitable night club. You see the club is full every night and the bar is always lined three deep. You notice the bar tender and his staff drive better cars than you and they are buying better homes to live in than you have, yet you own the bar. When the end of the year comes along, you find your "profitable night club" has not returned a dime of cash to you and if you tried to sell it, you would get no more for it than you paid since everyone wants to know why you, the owner, don't see any of the cash flow.

If you found the bartender had been pouring drinks and not charging for all of them so he could get larger tips, would you fire him? Note that the Bar has a wonderful cash flow, was alway busy, and everyone in town knew it was the best club to hang out at. This is pretty much how I view Cisco except Cisco sells routers rather than drinks.

Me, I might want to find another bar tender who put his efforts to making the owners money rather than trying to find ways to skim profits for his pocket. Maybe I am just funny that way. Chambers seems like a nice guy who does much for charity, but we learned that Ken Lay did much for charity too at Enron as a smokescreen. How do you know the difference? Is there a difference?

I think the stock will suffer until it is clear that management has the owners' best interests at the top of their priority list. There are compensation plans available that should better accomplish this than the current options game.
