We don't need to attack Mexico. We already control it!
No. We don't. They set their oil price in accordance with world prices an we pay up or do without. And the profits go to Pemex, then the Mexican Gov't, not US oilmen. It USED to go largely to US oilmen until the late '30s when the gov't nationalized the oil industry. The US oilmen pushed for a war, which they didn't get.

Now 60% of the Mexican gov't budget comes from Pemex, oil prices are falling, and the possibility of a Mexican gov't default is present again.

Might help if you knew the facts.

They have a representative democracy now. We get as much of their oil as we want. But even with Mexico's oil we're still short.
We get as much as w want- -at world prices. If we owned the place we could get as much we wanted much cheaper.
