"We also recommend the development of lower cost private insurance products for individuals and small businesses. Such a product might cost $125 per month or $1,500 per year and provide basic primary care coverage as well as up to $20,000 of hospitalization. In order for such a product to work economically, it must have at least 10,000 subscribers, which could be achieved by encouraging small businesses to band together. It would require a combination of employer and employee contributions."

i didn't notice the % they expect to pick up charging $125 mo fee for health insurance. How many in the 30% i wonder are kids or young people who do not feel they need health insurance and wouldn't pay a cent. Rather they take their chances and go to the emergency ward to get help if they need it. they know the hospital has to serve them. I have heard of single parents able to afford health insurance for their kids tell them to just go the hospital if something happens. They refuse to pay insurance for them. I wonder how many in the group are between jobs and elected not to take coverage between jobs.

Meanwhile gov. and people in group insurance programs continue to pay for the uninsured through increased medical insurance premiums.
