It's funny you say that about the Irish. I would have thought they'd be more expressive. We noticed some real body language differences between nationalities while we were in Scotland. The Scots are not, as you might expect, an expressive people. They don't talk with their hands at all, and even their faces aren't super expressive. But when you are surrounded by one culture you don't really notice it- however, where we lived we saw a number of young people from other countries come through- and occasionally we'd see Italians- SUCH a difference in the way they stand, and talk- and in body distance, and in facial expressions, and laughing out loud.

It's really fun to watch
