Craig -

What I'm suggesting has nothing to do with optimization.

If you read Jeff's message he offers a method where you can run several Qplus scans in sequence using the output from one scan as the input to the next. In his example he's running several variations of a DNS scan. I'm guessing that he's using the break point on DNS as 6 in one scan and he has another DNS scan with a break point of 7. If you were able to pass parameters to a Qplus scan you could have one DNS scan rather than two. In one case you'd pass it a value of 6 and the next a value of 7 to be used as the break point within the DNS scan.

This capability will simplify Qplus not make it more complex; as well as enhance the capabilities of the system. It's a technically a very low level capability with potentially dramatic enhancement in system function.

Another example would be a scan comparing a 9 day moving average to a 20 day moving average. With the parameter capability you could have one scan for comparing (ANY) two moving averages... pass the scan 9 20 or 13 89 or 13 57 . It doesn't matter. You only need to have one Qplus scan to compare any combination of moving averages you like.

Trying to keep things KISS BUT with a nice long lingering sensation
