With respect to going to war in Iraq, Bush said he consulted a higher power. I'm not bringing religion into the discussion any more than Bush himself has done.

Politicians have pandered to many interests. From religious folk to gamblers and whore mongers. Where ever they can get a vote they will go. Whether Bush is pandering or is a man of true faith will likely never be known. Frankly it's not that important what he believes in compared to what he does.

That's why it would be nice to hear what his vision and plan are. We started out to protect the US and the world from Terror and WMD. We're way beyond that mission now. The cost in blood and treasure is gonna hurt us for decades...if it doesn't bring the nation to it's knees. Which incidently is OBL's plan. He made Afghanistan Russia's last war. And he's hoping that Iraq will be America's last war.

Many of the conservative here are finally openly admitting that a large part of what we are doing in Iraq is about the oil. This notion was fought tooth and nail before the election...and now it's matter of fact that only a pinhead could miss! Thanks JLA for finally coming clean.

So what it comes down to is the American taxpayer is subsidizing oil exploration and exploitation in the middle east. I guess the only thing left to do is to buy shares in Exxon-Mobil and become a bloody republican.
