I'm not hammering Christians or any other religion. I'm all for freedom of religion. I'm very much in support of separation of church and state. I do not want my government telling the church what to do. I do not want the church telling the government what to do.

Bush brought his beliefs into the discussion by saying he bypassed discussions with his father, a former president with war experience in Iraq, for a consultation with a higher power.

Personally I think he said that to pander to his religious base. If he finds solace in prayer for strength that is good. But when asked if he consulted with his father about Iraq he said no...that he consulted a higher power. That goes beyond saying that he prayed for strength. It implies that the plan came from God. In that case we need to ask the question. Don't we?
