I'm sure you know what the PMI index is. Notice when it hit it's lowest point in the last 20 years? January 2001 at 41.3- -the very month Bush first took office in his first term.

But the recession was his fault. Right.

Just in case you think all Irish are drunken sots like one poster we won't specifically name who has already confessed, some Irishmen who WEREN'T living in the pubs:

William Rowan Hamilton, mathematician and physicist, inventor of the Hamiltonian operator widely used in theoretical physics

George Boole, mathematician, inventor of symbolic logic, the basis of computers

George Gabriel Stokes, physicist, discoverer of Stoke's Law, the basis of fluid mechanics

William Thompson, Lord Kelvin, physicist, best known for his formulation of the absolute temperature scale, b ut a polymath in the physical sciences

Osborne Reynolds, physicist, aerodynamicist, best known for formulation of Reynold's number in fluid mechanics

George Francis Fitzgerald, physicist, best known for the formulation of the Lorenz-fitzgerald contraction, an early attempt to explain the anomalies later covered by special relativity theory

Ernest Thomas Sinton Walton, 1951 Nobel Prize winner in physics, first to split the atom.

Back to your Guiness, boy!
