The other side of the story:
I for one fail, to understand the way the american public is taken with the royal family. We of the United States waged war and died in pursit of the grand idea that all are equal! The presence of a monarchy flies in the face of all we should stand for. Those (of the US)which lust after every sorid detail in the life of the royal family would at one point have been labeled - Traitor to the Cause.

She was a pretty lady, with many good points. It is a terrible waste when anyone dies in such a way. She ,though, was human. She was not elected or even appointed to a position of power. She should not have been given as much prime US news time in her life as she was given. That she was given,in death,an entire night of air time and many hours since;is beyound belief!

She was nothing to the US. Please everyone, get over it. There are many things and people more deserving of our time.

While we are at it; should we not also get over this sick twisted interest in all things royal? They have no "God Given" right to rule.
They are not our betters due to some unproven "Devine Intervention".
If you have an interest in power, VOTE, Write your duly Elected Officals, Run for Office!

Now don't come up missing your heads over this one, but.
Perhaps the French had the right idea about the correct end for those
who would believe themselves our lords & masters by right of birth.
