Re: I am happy with the direction

This is exactly the kind of stock that made my most memorable day in the market as a trader. I held 5000 shares of a biotech stock that I purchased at $1.50 a share. No earnings but the company had two cancer drugs in phase two testing and another in phase three.

I was driving home from opening one of my businesses at 9:00 AM and here a news release on the radio about some company that had just cured cancer tumors in mice using a patented gene delivery method. The news guy then named the company “Targeted Genetics”, which happened to be the company that I owned the 5000 shares in.

I got back to my office 15 minutes prior to the market open and booted my PC. Shares were trading at $7.80 in pre-market. I asked myself the hard question……what should I do???

What I did was place a market sell order about 30 seconds into the open and made a very big profit. I bought 8000 shares back at noon when the price fell to $4.50 on profit taking and I sold them at 2:30 at $6.25.
