IMHO, that's a hokey conspiracy theory.

It is patently illegal to trade non-anonymously (there is some complicated procedure on the SOES system where you have to post your bids/asks before they are put through), and if someone is offering an inflated price for a stock, you are free to sell it to them for that inflated price.

One of the interesting things about all the computerized trading systems of which I am aware is that you have to post bid and ask without knowing whether the inquiring party means to buy or sell.

Anyone to dispute this?
