Dom- Lady Di was a human ambassador of goodwill!

My everyday jog takes me from my Apt on Champs Elyssee's down to George v Ave onto Pont Alma rt angle to the tunnel where Lady Di had this tragic accident- On Sunday morning as I made my way thru first 5 minutes if my jog I saw hundreds of people around Pont Alma- little did I realise that the metallic mess what I was watching right in front of my eyes was a Mercedes which hit the 10th column of the tunnel at 120 MPH as if hitting the wall at this speed- the allowable speed on this Quay running along Seine is 40MPH-

Dodi and entourage alongwith Lady Di were travelling at thrice the speed- the problem always I face in this and other tunnels along Seine is that if you are not at the designed speed your car is bound to get out of control- the 10th fateful cloumn has been singularly responsible for 30 accidents in last 30 years- all major car makers have design provisions of 30M to 40M accidents into the wall but 120MPH has different kind of impact- the alignment of the tunnel from 9 column onwards subtly changes and at the speed DODI had ordered his driver to take off- it was touch and go- you are bound to hit the column if your speed is far in excess of the design capacity- It was a tragic consequence of neglect of basic law of speed and alignment- by the way the most ironical thing about this tunnel is when you come out of it you have a full view of Tour Eiffel with huge insignia of 853 days to Year 2000! that fateful morning I read that as I saw her car being pulled out-

Lady Di loss is a major loss for the poor of this world- she lived a hi life and her love of that may have a hand in her untimely death but we have lost a person who stood for incapacitated AID victims and cancer victims- she spent a lot of her life in service of others and that will keep her alive in our memories and make her immortal for history .
