I own a potful of Citizens Utilities. I starting buying it in 1988 on the advice of a Catholic priest who is quite savy in the market. I made the mistake of falling in love with the company, and have been averaging down over the years. In retrospect it seems that it has gone downhill as an investment ever since Leonard Tow took over as CEO. The only thing that has kept me even are the 6%+ stock dividends. I'm still hoping it will turn arround soon, but my patience has really been tested! Please keep in touch with your thoughts on this stock. I wish I had a good source of up-to-the-minute info on this company, and had thought about starting a new thread on it; but was afraid there wouldn't be much interest. The volume really increased last Friday (down 3/8); but if so many are selling,someone is also buying. At this level I can't see it going much lower; but then I've been saying that for years.
