Doug, re: known charges

First of all, I am doing the best I can!

Previously allowing people to correct their entry based on incorrect analyst estimates was because the analyst numbers originally provided were for the wrong quarter. That is completely unrelated to the discussion at hand.

We are trying to emulate the analysts numbers to a certain extent, but then again, how are we to know what the analysts are including vs. what they are not? This is why all entrants are to factor in all known information. Entrants have access to analyst numbers AND all public information.

Try to put yourself in my shoes Doug. You really think we should preemptively exclude some things but not others? Where do you draw the line? It is hard enough to figure out the unknown charges to exclude.

I am open to more discussion on this. If there are other entrants that did NOT factor this info in ahead of time please let me know. If there is a significant number of responses we might allow another "one-time" revision. :)

P.S. We've been relatively blessed to not have heated issues come up over the contest. I'd like to keep it that way, but at the same time I have to do what our rules say. Please remember that I am doing this totally on a volunteer basis because I find it enjoyable. These sorts of exchanges are not enjoyable, at least for me.
