If anyone has contact with AVR management, they might recommend having their product tested on US troops stationed over here in Iraq. An article in today's "Early Bird" highlighted the problem military commanders are having over here with a few soldiers who seem intent not only imbibing on prohibited alcohol, but also obtaining drugs from local Iraqi sources. The story was carried in an Arkansas paper which I can't seem to find the link to (since the early bird is carried on gov't computer systems). But it made note of the cost and logistical hassle involved in having test samples sent back to labs out of the theater of operations. Regardless, there are plans being put in place to commence regular testing of troops in theater. 150,000 troops (leave us contractors alone.. ;0) multiplied by $30 per test (with instant results), probably tested at least twice a year?? You do the math.... ;0) And believe me, the military would save a ton of money they are planning on spending anyway... Either way.. it's a potential market opportunity for the company if they can manage to get their feet in door at DOD (and the GSA schedule). Here's hoping for a profitable 2005. Hawk
