That could be a matter of definition.

If the universe stopped expanding, and time stopped, it could remain frozen for eternity. That is unlikely since there is only one way for that to happen and many ways for it not to.

Another form of eternity would be if the universe really was deterministic. It could then be played and replayed the way we watch a DVD over and over.

Information theory suggests that even this would ultimately break down. Eternity, after all, is a very long time.
