<36,000 tourists found that 87% said they thought their visit was better than they expected. 97% said they wanted to come back>

Hey, cool! I went to Brazil and only got robbed twice and didn't get shot at all. Put me in the category "thought their visit was better than they expected".

I'm suspicious of such market research. The questions are usually absurd and just test verbal behaviour, not actual intentions or what people really do when in the situation being studied.

For example, market research shows many people say learning Maori is a good thing. But do they do it? No. They just want to appear "good guys" when being interviewed.

"Would you want a Globalstar phone?"

"Oh yes, that would be great!"

So the silly market researchers figured there were 40 million prospective customers, enough for the half dozen different competing constellations which were planned. Only two were launched and both were bankrupt.
