Gottfried, I think you are on target with your assessment of the political fallout, both with the N.E. (especially) and with politicians in general.

Here in the U.S., in regards to "laws to curb intrusive reporters", would the anti-stalking laws apply? It would seem to me that intrusive photographers could be considered to be "stalking". If not, I'm not sure what is. <g>
