Israel has shamelessly exploited the fate of European Jewry (the Nazi Holocaust) as a cloak for gross human rights abuses.
Since antiquity, and especially since the demise of classical rationalism in the Christian Dark Ages, Judaism, from its traditionally secularist inclination, has been a haven for opponents of transcendalism, the root cause of political reaction in all cultures. Students of Nazism have argued that it was precisely the progressive role of European Jewry that elicited the visceral antisemitism which made the genocide possible. The crudely regressive Israeli state ideology (Zionism) and inevitably unjust practice desecrate the memory of the victims of the Holocaust. |
