I believe the AMZN vs BKS debate closely resembles the DELL vs CPQ debate. CPQ recently decided to sell direct on the www, because it can't compete with DELL on price otherwise. CPQ risks its relationship with resellers, Best Buy, Office Depot, etc., just as BKS risks cannibalizing its store volume.
