My nose still runs when I eat, something I never got over after my illness

I have the same problem. We think it is an allergy I have acquired to one of the spices used in almost everything I eat. Could be garlic or salt or onions or one of the ingredients in McCormicks California Style Lemon Pepper. I don't eat breakfast food, just almost pureed stew because of stomach surgery I had in 1987. Nothing happens more serious than a runny nose which causes me to keep blowing it a lot. I figure all the blowing gets rid of any germs I may have picked up between meals, so all in all it's a plus.
