Don't misunderstand kumar...for some reason, I thought you had mentioned an aircraft carrier from India. Really, I didn't know what, if any ships, India had, so I was happy to find what I did.
And re the Iraq, and the SE Asian situations, totally different things. On one hand, we are working in Iraq to try to rescue 25 million people from another horrible dictator, and so that they can be an example of how life could be in the Middle East. In SE Asia, we are helping as human to human...
The Golden Rule would follow in my book..."Do unto others as you would have them do unto you...."
Most of us can't even imagine the terrible things that have happened to so many humans at the hand of nature.
Hopefuly people won't say...it's not enough, and not quick enough. That happened after 9-11 too, and was very hard to deal with, after so many of us helped in any way we could, and to the best of our ability, given the circumstances. There are still some 9-11 families that don't think several million in donations to them is enough...while our military families who have lost their loved ones in Iraq or Afghanistan, etc, have NOTHING like that kind of money to assist them. |
