The idea that some libertarians still hold, that the right, in spite of being in power, is less a worry than the out-of-power leftists in Hollywood, is just plain ridiculous.

One could certainly make an argument that the right is more dangerous to freedom, either because it is in power now or even because of some real or imagined ideas about the nature of the right and its ideas and policies, but the converse of that argument is hardly ridiculous.

I believe it will win sooner rather than later, and America will slow down, if not reverse, on its current road to serfdom.

The assertion that the conservatives, or the Republican party are pushing the US down a road to serfdom is IMO hyperbole at best.

The article doesn't really make the case that the Republicans are hostile to freedom, it starts with that assumption and uses it to argue that libertarians should ally with the Dems.
