I'm sorry but I've looked and looked over the years for research that isolates marriage and I haven't found anything. <<This year's feature essay, "The Marrying Kind," reviews the results of a national survey of young men 25 to 34, looking at the characteristics of the men who marry and those who don't. >> That clip is from your Rutgers link. In a study you would have to distinguish whether an outcome is caused by the state of marriage or from pairing with a man who is or isn't the marrying kind. I submit that you would do better not married to a man who was the marrying kind than married to a man who wasn't.
