Sorry for the delay in getting my 2005 entry in, as Chichen Itza has been on my mind and travel was a bit hectic over the past several days. I really have not had that much time to seek out more novel ideas for the sector, so most of my picks are some long time favorites. In general, I seek companies with solid drug discovery efforts with lots of upside leverage with potential blockbuster compounds or mechanisms under pursuit.

AMLN 10K, all about Glp-1 mechanism and spring approval
DCGN 10K, its about the genetic databases
DOVP 10K, mutliple development programs that could hit big
ELN 20K, its all about Tysabri for now
INCY 20K, interesting programs and experienced management
OSCI 10K, Factive and Ramoplanin
REGN 10K, the trap technology, and son of axokine returns
SGEN 10K, clinical programs move forward

I have yet to determine my charity for 2005, and as I looked back on 2004 that was a whimsical choice. From the egregious viewpoint that this may matter, I want to give it more thought <lol>.

I pledge $250 to the charity of the winner.
