I suspect the deal will not go thru unless prices move up. I also suspect someone doesn't want to face the reality of good potential in this deal. I also doubt MSFT really wants to go thru the publicity of selling their defective product and then selling you something to fix the security holes in it. I also suspect that it would lead to an internet disaster if the market foolishly desires MSFT to be its own safeguard.

Holidays were good. And I'm only buying the pipe dream stocks which the Street.con tells me to buy, of course. <g>

More seriously, I have 1 large position to flip (it doesn't really matter what, lets just say semi-equip), hedged thru Jan 2006 wih Puts for downside protection and Calls for any upside foolery which I get left out of by flipping. Risk is currenly about $3 per share after flipping profits, from the $5 I started out at on Dec 30th. Time value has yet to erode the Put or Call premium.

The MarkIT remains too broken as an investing mechanism to simply just invest. Or I'm just clueless. Take your pick.
