Apex Announces News on Fortunes of Industry Leaders Hinging on Fate of
Massive Infrastructure Projects of Canada's Pipelines - Investments of over
$10 Billion to Fuel North America's Red-Hot Energy Economy -

SALT LAKE CITY, Jan 4, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Apex Resources Group Inc. (OTC
BB:APXR), today reported on an industry update concerning the energy industry's
most crucial year, with investments of over $10 billion to fuel North America's
red-hot energy economy.

The new year, industry watchers say, will be crucial in deciding which
multi-billion mega-projects are built and by whom. The fortunes of some of
Canada's largest public companies, including Imperial Oil, Enbridge and
TransCanada, will turn on decisions made around three massive infrastructure
projects ready for development. Additionally, the contest between Terasen and
Enbridge, two of the country's largest pipeline builders, to lay a new $2
billion to $3 billion oil pipeline from Canada's oil sands to the West coast is
likely to be decided.

There will be key decisions made on the $7 billion plan to build a gas pipeline
along the MacKenzie Valley in Canada's north. The MacKenzie Valley natural gas
pipeline would constitute Canada's biggest pipeline project ever. It would also
direct much-needed natural gas to southern markets - 1.2 billion cubic feet per
day. The initial review of MacKenzie by the National Energy Board will be
nearing completion early this year. This should give the producer group a clear
idea of how quickly they must proceed.

Apex Resources' proven interests in gas reserves could generate $45 million with
the potential for an additional $323 million (based on gas prices at $7.00 per
1,000 cubic feet).

"The 'heat' is on in 2005!", stated John Hickey Director. "Apex stands ready for
action which is peaking by the prospects of providing domestic alternatives for
fuel and the urgent need to get moving now. Plans for the future are becoming a
reality now representing a significant long term investment opportunity."
