I believe the company regularly makes demonstrations of it's technology to investors, analysists, etc. The run-up could have been the result of some of those individual's, instutitions, etc realizing the value of MVIS's techonology just like we have. Institutions don't buy a few hundred shares at a time. If they are buying with a mid term perspective 1-2 yrs, then even the price they paid is a good deal (IMO). Since I do buy in the low hundreds of shares, I'll wait and buy more under 10. Now that the volume has dropped off, we should see that price range soon.
I think MVIS's management has what it takes to make this company go on it's own. Although a buyout would be good for my pocketbook, I think a buyout would be a shame. A takeover by a defense company would probably hinder the technology from rapidly developing into commercial technologies. Can you imagine MVIS's technology combined with a wearable computer system like xybernaut's or others. We could surf the web and not be tied down to a desk. Imagine how much more exciting arcade games would be, better yet, rides at theme parks. Best of all, could we possibly put a pilot in a simulator and a camera in an airplane and have it fly a bombing mission unmanned??? I'll bet with enough develpment, all of these things are possible with MVIS technology. |
