You guys were hopeful going in. I told you that the Iraqis would fight back with a will that far exceeded our ability to take the punishment. Here it is, 18 months on and sure enough

Sure enough they haven't fought back with anything that far exceeds our ability to take punishment.

Look back at your post. You didn't put a single number down. All you say is that the percentage of Palestinians actively against Israel is "much greater" than the percentage of Iraqis actively against the US. But you're not saying how much greater. What's the number?

I don't have a number, I don't think anyone does, but its obvious the percentage is much lower. Among Palestinians opposition to Israeli occupation is near universal. Opposition to the US is less and to the provisional government still less. I imagine the elected government will get even more support than the provisional government.

You seem to think that an argument is great if you have numbers and meaningless if you don't. Neither point is true. In fact some of the particular numbers you have thrown around in your argument (like comparing the population of Iraq to the number of Palestinians) are fairly meaningless.

If you want to assert that the population of Iraq is as against the regime taking shape there as the Arab population of the West Bank and Gaza is against Israel feel free to do so.

The whole reason this fiasco has been a fiasco is because people like you went into Iraq based on their feelings that it was going to be a "cakewalk"

I never said it would be a cakewalk or even indirectly suggested it would be.
