bp, The last 4 posts were definitely ON TOPIC. They address a previous post suggesting that LGND's hormone analogs were somehow different than AMLN's hormone analogs. There is one major difference. LGND's are non-polypeptide hormones so they can be taken in pill form while AMLN's are polypeptide hormones, so they require injection.
However, the post seemed to be implying that AMLN's combinations were somehow safer because they were based on natural hormones. While such compounds may be safer than other drugs, such an arguement is false when applied to the compounds that LGND and WLA are developing in the area of diabetes.
However, both LGND and AMLN are using hormones or analogs of hormones to treat diabetes. LGND of course targets a much wider range of indications, but my posts here are largely focused on diabetes and the hormones used to treat the disease.
