All we can do is give the Shiites a fighting chance. Obviously we can't have troops there forever. Its time for the Vietnamization phase. After that its up to them. In Vietnam many many South Vietnamese were closet leftists and communists that totally sympathized with the oppostion. I don't think the same is true in Iraq with the Shia. I don't think the Shia sympathize at all with the Sunnis.
